Difficult weather conditions prevailed in Philadelphia Saturday. Wind delayed racing for over an hour and a half after swamping several boats.  Stetson's lightweight four and others had to go into shore and wait an hour and a half for the wind to quit, yet it never did. Conditions deteriorated yet with a poor forecast for Sunday as well, they let the women race with a severe quartering head wind.

"With the wind gusting to 30 plus MPH the women rowed very, very tough, yet couldn't pull the gold out. But any color medal at the nationals is a good medal", said Stetson head coach Susan Saint Sing.
