DeLand, Fla. - Stetson junior Alexandria Buelow (Palm City, Fla.) was honored by Golf World Magazine on Wednesday as one of its Top 50 Players to Watch in NCAA women's golf for 2011-12. Buelow, who has earned Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year honors in each of her first two seasons for the Hatters, is the defending A-Sun Tournament champion and has led Head Coach Floyd Kerr's squad to two of its three consecutive A-Sun championships.

Buelow was one of just 13 golfers nationwide from non-BCS conferences to make the list and the only honoree from the Atlantic Sun Conference. She is the owner of five career victories and 17 top five finishes in 23 career starts as well as a 73.25 stroke average in 64 competitive rounds.

Stetson will open the 2011-12 season and the chase for its fourth A-Sun title in a row Oct. 3-5 at Nevada's Wolf Pack Classic (Dayton, Nev.). The 2012 A-Sun Championship will be hosted by Stetson April 9-12 at Venetian Bay Golf Club in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
