Stetson Men's Basketball Head Coach Casey Alexander announced that Roger Idstrom has been promoted to Associate Head Coach for the Hatters on Tuesday morning.  Idstrom joined the Stetson staff in May of 2011 as an assistant coach.

"Roger is an integral part of our basketball program, and this is a way to publically recognize his value," Alexander said.  "He deserves this recognition because of his commitment to making this program excel in every area."

Idstrom, who works primarily with the perimeter players on the court, shares all of the recruiting, coaching, and scouting responsibilities with the rest of the staff.  The second year coach works directly with Coach Alexander on scheduling and is the primary contact for all campus related items, including admissions and housing.

"I consider each member of our staff as equally important, and I couldn't be more pleased about the direction this program is heading under their direction," Alexander continued.

Idstrom is a 1989 graduate of Mars Hill College.  He and his wife Jennifer have twin sons, Dane and Logan.
