Kevin Lindheim (Naples, Fla.) and Drew Jackson (Naples, Fla.)
were named All-Stars of the Florida Collegiate Summer League, and are scheduled
to play in Tuesday's 7:00 p.m. All-Star Game at Sanford Memorial Stadium.
Both players, as members of the DeLand Suns, will represent
the North Squad in the All-Star Game.
The top 44 players (18 pitchers, 26 position players) were selected to
compete in the contest designed to showcase the talents of players highlighting
the league's season.
Jackson
has recorded an ERA of 1.52, while striking out 26 batters and walking only six
in five starts this summer. The
right-hander is 2-0, allowing only 13 hits in 23.2 innings for the Suns.
Selected to the All-Star team as an infielder, Lindheim is
currently batting .298, and leads the Suns with 21 runs scored, two triples,
three home runs, and 16 runs batted in.
He has added six doubles and 12 walks this summer.
