Saint Sing Departing as Stetson Crew Coach

Stetson University crew coach Dr. Susan Saint Sing left her position in charge of the Hatters' men's and women's rowing teams, effective June 30.

Saint Sing, who is the author of numerous books, including her latest effort titled "The Eight: A Season in the Tradition of Harvard Crew", is leaving to focus on her writing.

Saint Sing served as the Stetson crew coach for three seasons.

Saint Sing earned her bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Fine Arts from Penn State University, her master's degree in Health and Nutrition Science and Exercise Physiology from the University of Cincinnati, and her Ph.D. in Sport History and Philosophy from Penn State in 2004.

Stetson will launch a national search for a new coach for the crew program immediately.
