Stetson University volleyball head coach Tim Loesch announced the hiring Tuesday of Meghan Bryant as an assistant coach for the Hatters sand volleyball program. She will have responsibilities with the indoor volleyball program as well.
An AA and Open-level beach volleyball player, Bryant has several years of experience coaching high school, club, and beach volleyball in the Carolinas. Over the past two years she served as the assistant varsity volleyball coach at Hough High School (Cornelius, N.C.), and over the past three years she has been a head coach with the Lake Norman Volleyball Club, coaching the Gold and Platinum teams. From 2008-09 she was the head varsity volleyball coach at United Faith Christian Academy in Charlotte.
"The addition of Meghan to our staff will help both of our volleyball teams continue to grow," Loesch said. "Her diverse experience and strong work ethic will benefit the program in many ways. I'm very glad to have her join us."
"The opportunity to learn from two experienced and knowledgeable coaches will be invaluable," Bryant said. "I am very excited to be a part of building something great in both the sand and indoor teams, and I look forward to continuing to learn from Coach Loesch as I begin my collegiate coaching career."
A four-year starter and senior captain on the Davidson College women's basketball team, Bryant earned her Bachelor's Degree from Davidson in 2004.
Bryant spent five years with Bank of America Corporation in Charlotte and New York, where she worked in the Global Corporate Investment Banking division and the Financial Protection Services and Innovation division.
She is currently a certified yoga instructor and worked as a certified personal trainer from 2004-06.
