Stetson hosts FAU tonight (9/11) at 5:30 p.m.

After facing each other just 12 days ago, the Stetson Hatters and Florida Atlantic Owls will meet again tonight at the Edmunds Center for a 5:30 p.m. first serve.

Stetson (3-9) went 1-2 last weekend at the Spartan Classic in Norfolk, Va., defeating tournament host Norfolk State 3-2 on Friday night.  Florida Atlantic (1-3) has been idle since the Stetson Clarion Classic (Aug. 31-Sept. 1), and has only played four matches on the season.   The Owls defeated the Hatters in a five-set thriller, 3-2, back on Aug. 31.

Ticket Information
General Admission tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for seniors and students.  All Stetson home events are free to Stetson students, faculty, and staff with a Stetson University ID.  For more information call (386) 822-8110.

All-Time vs. Florida Atlantic
Florida Atlantic leads the all-time series 29-4 over Stetson.  The last two meetings have gone five sets.  FAU took last year's fifth set 15-10 in Daytona Beach.  The Owls won this year's fifth set 17-15 in DeLand, back on Aug. 31 as part of the Clarion Classic.

A-Sun Statistical Rankings
The Hatters 1.78 team blocks per set ranks third in the A-Sun.  Junior Ellen Hawks (Austin, Tex.) ranks second in the A-Sun in total blocks (44) and fourth in blocks/set (0.96).  Senior Monique Russell (Phoenix, Ariz.) leads the A-Sun with 203 digs, and ranks fifth in digs per set (4.41).

NCAA Statistical Rankings
In the first weekly release of NCAA statistical leaders, Monique Russell is tied for 15th nationally in total digs (203).

All-Tournament Honors
Junior Kaley Melville (New Germany, Minn.) was selected to the Spartan Classic all-tournament team.  Melville averaged 3.1 kills/set, 2.4 digs/set and 0.7 blocks/set.  Against Norfolk State, she tied a career-high with 19 kills, set a career-high with six blocks, and factored in five of the Hatters' final seven points in the decisive fifth set.

All-Time Digs Record
Monique Russell now ranks second in school history with 1142 career digs.  She needs 146 more digs to set the school record, which is held my Melissa Roy (1287 digs, 1994-97)

Good Starts
The Hatters are 7-5 in first sets this year.
