Men's Soccer Plays at UCF Wednesday Night

Following a difficult 1-0 loss to Mercer on the road on Sunday, the Stetson men's soccer team (2-5-0) will break up the Atlantic Sun Conference action with a road tilt at UCF (4-4-2) on Wednesday.  The Hatters and the Knights are scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m. in Orlando.

Ranked ninth in the NSCAA South Region rankings on October 2, UCF welcomes Stetson to town with an overall record of 4-4-2 in 2012.  The Knights are only 1-2-1 at home this season, picking up their first victory at the UCF Soccer Complex with a 1-0 win over FIU on October 3.  Most recently, UCF fell to South Carolina by a score of 2-1 in Columbia.  Deshorn Brown leads the Knights with eight goals and two assists for 18 points in 2012.

The Hatters fell back to .500 in A-Sun play after dropping a 1-0 match on the road to Mercer this past Sunday.  The Bears' goal in the 26th minute was enough to put this one away, and improve Mercer's record to 3-0-0 in league action.  Stetson fell to 1-1-0 in A-Sun games, and 2-5-0 overall.

UCF holds a 31-10-2 advantage over Stetson in the all-time series between the two teams.  Last season the Hatters tied the Knights 1-1 in DeLand, but it has been since a 2-1 victory in 2007 that Stetson has won in this rivalry.
