The Stetson women's soccer team (3-10-1, 1-4-1) stays on the road for a single game this weekend, playing at Florida Gulf Coast (9-3-3, 4-1-1) on Saturday.  The Hatters and the Eagles are scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m. in Fort Myers.

Florida Gulf Coast welcomes Stetson to town with an overall record of 9-3-3, and an Atlantic Sun Conference-leading 13 points.  The Eagles were riding a four-game winning streak before this past weekend, in which they fell to North Florida and tied Jacksonville.  FGCU is 5-1-1 at home in 2012 with its only loss coming to then No. 12 UCF back in August.  Shannen Wacker leads the Eagles with 10 goals and one assist for 21 points, while two-time A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week Brittany Brown has tallied four shutouts in goal.

FGCU holds a 4-1-0 advantage over Stetson in the all-time series, which dates back to 2007 when the Hatters won 3-2 in the first ever meeting.  Last year the Eagles won by a score of 1-0 in DeLand.

Stetson is enjoying playing on Saturdays thus far in 2012.  The Hatters are 2-0-0 with two of their three victories coming on Saturday.  The squad defeated Embry-Riddle by a score of 2-1 in overtime on Saturday, August 25, and then topped Florida Atlantic 5-2 on Saturday, September 8.
