The Stetson women's basketball team will seek its first road win of the year Saturday afternoon as the Hatters travel to Boca Raton, Fla. to face the Florida Atlantic Owls.  Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Hatters (4-4) are coming off a hard-fought 81-73 defeat at Charlotte last Saturday evening.  Victoria McGowan led all scorers with 23 points, Shanasa Sanders added 12 points and nine rebounds, and Sasha Sims recorded 10 points and three blocks.

With just three non-conference games remaining, the Hatters are looking to build some momentum heading into Atlantic Sun Conference play.  Stetson currently leads the league in scoring (67.1 ppg), field goal percentage (.413), three-point field goal percentage (.354), and free throw percentage (.770).

The Owls (5-4), meanwhile, are coming off a pair of close losses to two BCS conference opponents.  FAU lost at Mississippi State 59-58 on Dec. 7 and then lost in overtime at Wisconsin on Monday, 82-73.

Stetson leads the all-time series 21-14 over FAU.  The Hatters defeated the Owls 52-37 last year in DeLand.  The teams will be meeting in Boca Raton for the first time since 2006.

After Saturday's game, Stetson will have just a couple of days to get ready for next week's Hatter Classic.  The Hatters will face Georgia Southern on Tuesday and UNC Asheville on Wednesday.
