For the second time this season, College Sports Madness has selected Stetson women's basketball senior guard Victoria McGowan (Inkster, Mich.) as its Atlantic Sun Player of the Week, the website publication announced on Monday.

McGowan earned Hatter Classic MVP honors after averaging 16.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game in a pair of Hatter victories last week. Against Georgia Southern, McGowan registered 15 points, eight rebounds, and six assists as Stetson held the Eagles to just 39 points in a 70-39 victory.

Against UNC Asheville, McGowan scored 17 points, adding five rebounds and six assists as Stetson rolled to a 74-47 triumph.

For the week McGowan shot 60 percent (12-for-20) from the field including 89 percent (8-for-9) from inside the arc.  She dished out 12 assists while committing only one turnover.  She also recorded a pair of steals in each game.

McGowan currently ranks third in the league in scoring (16.7 ppg), second in field goal pct. (.513), and third in assists (4.7 apg).  She leads the league and ranks among the NCAA leaders in three-point field goal pct. (.457).

Winners of six of their last last seven games, the Hatters (7-4) will begin Atlantic Sun Conference play on Dec. 31 at Mercer.
