The Stetson lacrosse team (0-4) welcomes Presbyterian (0-5) and
Campbell (1-1) to the Athletic Training Center this week for a pair of home
matches. The Hatters will take on the
Blue Hose on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. and then challenge the Camels on Friday at
4:00 p.m.
The Hatters dropped their most recent contest, a 21-3 loss
to William & Mary on Saturday.
Freshmen Paige Levesque, Maylis Broderick, and Danielle Horgan all
scored goals for Stetson in the defeat.
Freshman Whitney Meyers made a season high 17 saves while playing all 60
minutes in goal.
Presbyterian comes to DeLand seeking its first win of 2013
after falling in three road games to start the year, and recently dropping a
pair at home. The Blue Hose went just
3-16 last season with a 1-9 Big South mark.
Catherine Ellis leads the team with seven goals and two assists for nine
points.
Campbell, a former Atlantic Sun Conference foe for many Hatter
teams, will play Saint Joseph's in its third straight home game to start the
season on Tuesday, before traveling down to Stetson for Friday's contest. The Camels have defeated Kennesaw State and
lost to Longwood so far in 2013. Cloey
Henchcliffe leads Campbell with 11 goals in two games.
Both games this week will have a live stream available on
HatterVision. Fans can also follow along
with the action with Live Stats, the @StetsonLacrosse Twitter feed, or by
signing up for the Hat-Alerts text messaging service.
