The Stetson women's lacrosse team will go on the road to play its first game away from home in program history on Tuesday. The Hatters (0-7) will take on the best of the best, playing at No. 2 Florida (11-0) at 6:30 p.m. in Gainesville.
Stetson scored just 11 goals in its first four games to start the inaugural 2013 campaign. Since then, the Hatters have put 20 shots in the back of the net over the past three contests. Most recently, Stetson dropped a 13-6 tilt to Bryant, tying the Bulldogs 6-6 over the final 30 minutes of play.
In just its fourth season, Florida has climbed to the top of NCAA Women's Lacrosse. The Gators are 11-0 and ranked number two in the nation. Last season Florida made it all the way to the NCAA Championship Semifinals. The Gators have not allowed more than 10 goals in a game this season, and five players have recorded more than 20 points so far this season.
Tuesday's game at Dizney Stadium will be streamed live on GatorZone on a paid subscription basis. There will also be free audio and live stats available. Fans can also get in-game updates by following the @StetsonLacrosse Twitter feed and signing up for Hat-Alerts.
