Stetson men’s basketball head coach Casey Alexander was honored by recently, as the online publication named him their Atlantic Sun Conference Coach of the Year for 2012-13.

With an overall record of 15-16, an 11-7 conference mark, a third seed in the A-Sun Championship, and a trip to the league’s semifinals, Alexander led the Hatters to one of their best seasons in over a decade.  In just his second year at the helm, he led Stetson to its first A-Sun Tournament win – a 67-46 rout of ETSU – since 2006.

A well respected outlet for college basketball news, oversees the Mid-Major Top 25 Poll, the Postseason Tournament, and award programs such as the Skip Prosser Man of the Year, and the Hugh Durham and Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year awards.

Alexander was named Coach of the Year in the A-Sun, while USC Upstate’s Torrey Craig earned Player of the Year accolades, and Mercer’s Langston Hall garnered Most Valuable Player honors from
