Joining new Head Coach Manoj Khettry on the pitch this fall will be eight new women’s soccer players for the upcoming 2013 season, as was announced by Khettry on Thursday afternoon.

Brianne Boldrin (Cary, N.C.), Ashni Deschenes (Tampa, Fla.), Kaitlynn Landry (Marathon, Fla.), Paige Law (Sanibel, Fla.), Victoria Marsh (Pensacola, Fla.), Eduarda Pavao (Manaus, Brazil), Laurie Scott (Stuart, Fla.), and Alyssa Swett (Fort Myers, Fla.) will join 17 returners from last year’s squad.

“While I haven’t gotten the opportunity to work with or meet every one of our incoming freshmen, I have had the opportunity to speak to each of them extensively and get to know them as people,” Khettry said. “I feel that they are the right kind of people we want in our program as we try to establish a new culture.

“I did get the chance to work with Paige, Alyssa, Eduarda, Laurie and Tori,” Khettry continued. “I feel like these five players can add some positive elements to our team, and help us offensively as well as add some depth and competition defensively. While I haven’t gotten the opportunity to work with Kaitlynn, Ashni or Brianne, I have heard great things about their potential and in some cases have seen a little video of them playing. While that doesn’t constitute a thorough knowledge of their abilities, I am hopeful that this group will come into preseason fit and ready to help build on what we were able to add to the existing team and their mentality this spring season.”
