Following an impressive win over ETSU on Thursday night, the Stetson men’s basketball team returns to action on Saturday hosting USC Upstate at the Edmunds Center. The Hatters and the Spartans are scheduled to tip-off at 1:00 p.m. from DeLand.

The Hatters held the Buccaneers to just 31.0 percent shooting from the floor in the second half, outscoring ETSU 37-28 in the final 20 minutes to secure the victory and improve to 2-4 in Atlantic Sun Conference play. Senior Willie Green led the way with 15 points, five assists, and a career high-tying four blocks.

Stetson has enjoyed success in DeLand this season, as all four of the Hatters' wins have come at the Edmunds Center. Green has been the biggest difference, leading the conference in scoring at home with an average of 18.7 points per game.

USC Upstate comes into Saturday's game 9-9 overall and 2-3 in A-Sun action after falling at Florida Gulf Coast 63-60 on Thursday. The Spartans were picked to finish third in the league and have a pair of Preseason All-Conference players, including former Player of the Year Torrey Craig.

Stetson swept the season series against Upstate last season, winning 66-64 in Spartanburg on Jan. 12 and then coming out on top 73-66 in DeLand on Feb. 7. The Hatters now lead the all-time series 6-5 and are 4-2 against Upstate at the Edmunds Center.

Saturday’s game can be watched on HatterVision or listened to on WSBB AM 1230, WTJV AM 1490, and online at Live Stats, the @StetsonMBB Twitter feed and Hat-Alerts are also available for in-game updates.
