DELAND, Fla. – The Stetson University lacrosse team returns home from their short one game road trip to host No. 4 Florida, Wednesday, Mar. 26 at 7p.m. The Hatters and Gators will hook up at the Athletic Training Center in DeLand for the first time as both squads met last season in Gainesville, with UF then ranked No. 2 in the nation.

Stetson comes into Wednesday’s contest at 0-11, but having averaged a little more than eight goals during their last three home contests. It’s a stretch which saw the Hatters score in double-digits twice, in losses to Sacred Heart and Wagner.

Stetson saw solid performances in goal from keeper Caili Guilday last week, who was named A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week for her work against Marist and Wagner. Guilday made 25 total saves during the two games to bring her total to 119 for the season.

The contest with the Gators will only be the second meeting this season for Stetson with a nationally ranked opponent as head coach Nicole Moore’s squad led off the 2014 campaign with a neutral site game against No. 3 Syracuse in Buena Vista.

Wednesday’s matchup is free for fans to attend and those that can't make it out to the ATC can watch on HatterVision or follow via Live Stats on The @StetsonLacrosse Twitter feed and Hat-Alerts are also available for in-game updates as well.
