DeLAND—The Stetson rowing squad placed 11 student-athletes on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s 127-member Rowing All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.  

Stetson’s honorees (and their majors) are: Carolina Perez-Tobon (Integrative Health Science), Katie Shilling (Elementary Education), Tabitha Petri (Scottsdale, Ariz.), Shelby Curren (Molecular Biology), Sheree Carter (Biology), Molly Winsten (Integrative Health Science), Morgan Pearson (Psychology), Alicja Duda (Political Science), Cathleen Vogelgesang (Sports Management), Julia Pearce (Psychology), Madeline Briggs (History).

Fairfield University led all schools with 24 members named to the team. Marist College had 21 athletes named to the team, and Jacksonville University had 16 athletes. Robert Morris University had 14 representatives, while Drake University and Iona College each added 12 to the team. Canisius College added four representatives and Sacred Heart University rounded out the team with eight athletes.
