Stetson University Strength & Conditioning is focused on providing our student athletes an opportunity to develop work-ethic, discipline, pride, and a well rounded program.
Our athletes train systematically, and by design. We provide a well managed, clean facility with the basic essential equipment and promote a safe and professional environment. Through improvising and creativity our athletes can achieve a complete training regiment. Our emphasis is injury prevention and to enhance athletic performance.
We believe that strength and conditioning are inseparable from a successful athletic program and a healthy lifestyle upon our students’ collegiate endeavors. Through continued research, development and implementation of diverse training techniques we strive to give athletes the coaching to reach their athletic potential.
Stetson University’s Strength and Conditioning program is primarily directed at helping athletes reach their maximal performance level. It is also directed toward injury prevention. At the base of all training there are staples. We incorporate those staples with sport-specific auxiliary exercises to achieve our primary directive.
An intense and diverse method of resistive, callisthenic and core work periodized year round provide programs that implement safety, strength, flexibility, endurance, speed and agility. We also believe it is fundamental to train the mind as well as the body and utilize team and character building drills to assist in the development of discipline and work ethic in our athletes.
