Antropikas Leads Hatters on Saturday at Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Sophomore Laurynas Antropikas led the Stetson men's tennis team with a singles win and two doubles victories as the Hatters continued competition at the Wake Forest Invitational on Saturday.

Antropikas defeated Matt Browne of Furman by a score of 7-6(6), 7-5(5) in consolation singles play. He is now schedule to take on Jack Williams of Charlotte in the 13th place match of the A1 Bracket on Sunday.

The big sophomore also paired with classmate Cahit Kapukiran to win a pair of doubles contests on Saturday.  The duo won 6-2 as Cisti/Pare of Charlotte retired in consolation action.  Antropikas and Kapukiran went on to beat Kealy/Salwan of UNC Wilmington, 8-3 to advance to Sunday's ninth place match of the C Bracket.

Senior Hans Adrian Riseng and junior Nathan Debut also won in doubles play on day two of competition. The pair earned an 8-7(5) victory over Delcore/Dumont of Wake Forest before falling to Weigel/Dempster of NC State.  They will play in the 11th place match of the B Bracket on Sunday.
