Levanovich Photos

Maksim Levanovich, after an illustrious career as a student-athlete at Stetson, joined the tennis coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in August of 2012.

 

2011-12: Atlantic Sun Player of the Year...A-Sun Scholar-Athlete of the Year...A-Sun All-Tournament Team...A-Sun Player of the Week...NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient...Wendell Jarrard Sr. Award for Excellence winner...16-3 (6-2 A-Sun) record at #1 singles...was ranked 113th nationally in late March and early April...beat then 83rd-ranked Ivan Turudic in Stetson's 4-3 win over Penn (March 5)...wins over the top players from three ITA Top 75 squads (Arkansas, Memphis, North Florida)...16-6 (7-2 A-Sun) in doubles with partner Chester Espie...

 

2010-11: Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team...A-Sun All-Academic Team...14-5 (2-3 A-Sun) in singles, playing 18 of 19 matches at #1 singles...missed a month of the regular season due to injury...12-6 (2-1 A-Sun) in doubles...spent the first few weeks of the spring season ranked 40th and 42nd nationally with doubles partner Njal Stene.

 

2009-10: First Team All-Atlantic Sun...A-Sun All-Tournament Team...A-Sun All-Academic Team...20-3 (9-1 A-Sun) in singles...posted a perfect 10-0 record at #2 singles and 10-3 mark at the #1 position...18-4 (9-1 A-Sun) at #2 doubles with partner Cesare Gallo...beat 85th-ranked Grega Teraz of ETSU in straight sets on March 13...three perfect 8-0 doubles wins with Gallo.

 

 

2008-09: Atlantic Sun All-Freshman Team...A-Sun All-Tournament Team...two-time A-Sun Player of the Week (Feb. 25, March 11)...15-7 in singles, 7-3 in A-Sun play...appeared at three different slots in the singles lineup (#3, #4 and #5)...compiled 21-4 doubles record (9-1 A-Sun) with five different partners...13-4 overall and 7-1 in A-Sun play when paired with Filip Kricka...13-match #2 doubles win streak with Kricka was snapped in A-Sun championship match...instrumental in road win over #72 South Alabama (Feb. 20) with a singles and a doubles win.

 

Prior to Stetson:  Ranked #209 in ITF world junior rankings...entered college as the second-ranked player under 18 in Belarus...ranked as high as 38th in European Under-16 class...national outdoor doubles champion and singles finalist at Belarus U-16 championships...twice a member of Belarus U-16 national squad for European Championships...son of Aleksey and Olga Levanovich.
