Ryan Lashley and Sean Emory following the A-Sun Awards Ceremony in Nashville.
Nashville, Tenn. - The Atlantic Sun Conference announced the 2010 All-Conference teams Tuesday and Stetson had two players receive honors. Junior outfielder Sean Emory (Miami, Fla.) was voted First Team All-Conference and Ryan Lashley (Lake Worth, Fla.) was named to the All-Freshman Team.

Emory comes into the post-season leading the A-Sun in hitting with a .472 average in league games. He is second in the A-Sun with a .534 on base percentage and 5th with 42 hits in league games. Emory has played in 50 games, has 20 multiple-hit games, and has 11 multiple-RBI games. He has a season-high 10-game hitting streak and is 3rd on team with seven stolen bases.

Emory stepped into the leadoff role on March 28 for the injured Jeff Simpson (Valrico, Fla.), and then surged at the plate. In the first 22 games he hit just .179. Since that time he shot up to second on the team in batting at .375. Defensively, in addition to playing right field he has spent time at second base, as well as third base.

Lashley has played in all 53 games with 52 starts as a freshman. He has been consistent at plate all season hitting .333 in A-Sun games and .327 overall. He leads team in home runs with 11, doubles with 19 and RBI with 50. He also leads the Hatters in multiple RBI games with 17 and is second on team in slugging percentage at .563. The impressive newcomer has 22 multiple hit games and has been involved in 32 of 42 team double plays while playing shortstop, third base and first base.

The #6 seeded Hatters will kick off the Atlantic Sun Championship Tournament tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. eastern standard time with a game against the #1 Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles. Stetson fans can catch the action free of charge on A-Sun TV at www.atlanticsun.org.
