DeLand, Fla. - Stetson's Ryan Lashley has earned his second freshman All-America recognition. He has been named to the 2010 Ping! Baseball Freshman All-America third team. He is the fourth Hatter in the past three years to earn freshman All-America honors. Lashley, Nick Rickles (2009), Mark Jones (2009), and Robert Crews (2008) are all slated to play on next year's squad.

Last week Lashley was recognized by Collegiate Baseball with a spot on the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America Team. At the conclusion of the regular season he was voted to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman Team.

The 6'0", 190lb shortstop out of Lake Worth, Florida (Park Vista High School) had an outstanding season for the Hatters. Lashley played in all 58 games with 57 starts in his inaugural campaign. He led the team in home runs with 11, doubles with 20, runs batted in with 50, and at bats with 239. He was second overall in runs scored with 48 and slugging percentage at .556. Lashley was fifth in hitting with an impressive .335 batting average.

Lashley also led the team in multiple RBI games with 17, was second in multiple hit games with 25, and had a season-high nine-game hitting streak.
