Filled with scrimmages, the Hatters series, and a game
against Baseball Canada's Junior National Team, the Stetson baseball team's
fall season is set to begin with practice on Tuesday, October 2.
The Hatters will practice all this week with the first
inter-squad scrimmage set for Saturday, October 6. The team's scrimmages will begin as four or
five inning contests, extending in length as the fall moves along.
A number of practices and five more scrimmages lead up to
the game against Baseball Canada on October 20.
The junior national team, which plays against a number of professional
teams, will cap its fall season with their tilt against the Hatters at 1:00
p.m. at Melching Field.
The annual Hatter Series will end the fall slate for
Stetson. A three-game series between a
split-squad of Hatters, the 2012 version will be played on November 8, 9, and
10. Of course, all of the dates listed
for the fall are subject to change due to weather.
