LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The Stetson men's and women's cross country teams finished
16th at the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic Saturday morning
in Lake Buena Vista. The men competed against 23 teams while the women competed
against 27.
The Hatter
men were led by Andrew Epifanio, who finished 66th with a time of
29:17.19. Andrew Townes was the next to finish for Stetson, coming in 90th
with a time of 30:26.17. Not far behind Townes was Kyle Burton, who finished 93rd
with a time of 30:37.49.
The next
two Hatters to finish were Cody Malloy (31:44.79) and Brian Dughi (32:16.36),
who finished 106th and 112th respectively. Ryan Hodgins
finished the race in 116th place with a time of 33:04.78 and Deryck
Greene came in 133rd with a time of 36:01.99. The final Hatter to finish was James Welch
III, who finished with a time of 37:41. 37.
Trixi
Menge was the top finisher for the Stetson women, finishing 63rd
with a time of 21:15.30. She was followed by Sabrina Guzsvany, who came in 83rd
with a time of 21:49.70. Jessica Cosgrove was next across the finish line,
coming in 92nd with a time of 22:09.40.
Alyssa
Thompson finished 105th with a time of 22:34.80. Emmie Wenzell was
the next Hatter to finish the race, coming in 113th with a time of
23:19.40. Connie Compton (23:44.50) and Shannon Harrell (24:05.90) were next to
finish, coming in 128th and 135th respectively. The last
Hatter to finish the race was Christine Iseley, who finished with a time of
24:47.20.
The
Hatters return to action next week when they race in the UCF Black & Gold
Invitational on Friday.
