For the second consecutive week, Stetson University volleyball outside hitter Tiffany Creamer was chosen as the Atlantic Sun Conference Freshman of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Creamer recorded 41 kills and 10 digs to help lead the Hatters (13-5, 4-0 A-Sun) to a perfect 3-0 week including two A-Sun victories over the weekend.
On Tuesday, Creamer led the team with 13 kills and a .429 attack percentage in the Hatters' 3-0 win at Bethune-Cookman. On Friday she recorded 12 kills and five digs as Stetson downed Mercer in four sets. On Saturday vs. Kennesaw State, Creamer again led the team with 16 kills, adding three digs and two blocks as Stetson moved into sole possession of first place in the A-Sun with a 3-1 victory.
For the season, Creamer is averaging 2.85 kills per set and has registered a .267 attack percentage. She has helped Stetson get off to its best start in school history. The Hatters have also won seven matches in a row, tying a school-record, and the team has its first 4-0 start in A-Sun play since 2002.
The Hatters will visit Florida Atlantic at 6 p.m. Tuesday night.
