After three Preseason WNIT games, all of which were contested in the Central time zone, Stetson (1-2) will play its home opener at 6 p.m. Monday night as the Hatters host the Indiana State Sycamores (2-1).

Stetson is coming off a weekend split in its final two WNIT games, an 84-77 win over Stephen F. Austin on Friday and a 73-68 loss to North Carolina A&T on Saturday. Stetson shot 54.5 percent against the Aggies, but committed 26 turnovers and allowed 17 offensive rebounds to A&T.

After a travel day on Sunday, the Hatters will be back on the court Monday night for their third game in four days. Stetson will continue its stretch of four games in six days with a Wednesday night contest at Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach.

How will the Hatters handle such a busy schedule?

"They love the games," Stetson head coach Lynn Bria said about the players. "Practices are shorter, they are still intense, but we try to save our legs. It will be nice to finally get off the road and be home, at least for a game, and then we take a short trip to Bethune on Wednesday. It was a couple of tough road trips. When you travel a lot it does get tiring. For a young team that's hard, so it will be nice to finally be home."

Indiana State won its first two games of the season vs. South Alabama and Eastern Illinois, but the Sycamores are coming off a 57-54 loss to Indiana on Friday.

"They are a good team," Bria said about the Indiana State. "Their defense is very good and they don't give up a lot of points. We are going to have to play a lot better than we did Saturday to get a win."

The Hatters were 14-1 at home last season and are 30-2 over the last 32 games at the Edmunds Center.

Tickets range from $5-$10 and can be purchased online at or at the Edmunds Center ticket office.  Admission to the home opener is just $3 with any 2013 Stetson football ticket stub.  Stetson students, faculty, and staff are free with a valid ID.

Live video will be available on HatterVision, while live stats, the @StetsonWBB twitter feed, and Hat-Alerts will provide in-game updates as well.
