The Stetson women's basketball team will go for its second win in a row on Saturday afternoon as the Hatters host ETSU in an Atlantic Sun Conference tilt at the Edmunds Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. in a game broadcast live on WSBB and HatterVision.

A strong second half surge lifted the Hatters (9-5, 1-1 A-Sun) to a 78-64 win over USC Upstate on Thursday. Sasha Sims led five players in double figures with 24 points, while Brianti Saunders added 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Buccaneers (5-9, 1-2), meanwhile, dropped a 73-58 decision at Florida Gulf Coast. Brianna McQueen scored 13 points in 39 minutes to lead ETSU.

Stetson won all three meetings vs. ETSU last year, including a 66-55 victory in the A-Sun tournament quarterfinals.

"They are a much improved team," Stetson head coach Lynn Bria said about ETSU.  "Brittany (Ezell) is their new coach and does a really good job.  She has them playing very, very well.  It's always a tough game because they do rebound well, and she has them running the right stuff.  We are going to have to play well and take care of the home floor."

Fans can listen to the game on WSBB, AM1230 New Smyrna Beach, AM1490 DeLand, and online at Live stats, the Stetson women's basketball twitter feed, and the Hat-Alerts text messaging service will also provide in-game updates.

Of Note: Sasha Sims is tied for the league lead in scoring (18.4 ppg) and is 20 points shy of 1400 for her career.
