Winners of two straight and five out of six, the Stetson women's basketball team (10-5, 2-1 A-Sun) will hit the road this weekend for a pair of Atlantic Sun Conference games in the state of Georgia.  The Hatters will face Mercer (9-6, 2-2) at 7 p.m. Thursday night and Kennesaw State (4-11, 2-2) at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Georgia has been quite "peachy" for the Hatters over the past three seasons.  Stetson has compiled a 15-1 record in games played in the state since 2010-11, including an 11-1 mark at Mercer's Hawkins Arena and a 3-0 tally at KSU's Convocation Center.

The Hatters are looking to build off of a pair of home victories over USC Upstate (78-64) and ETSU (91-62).  Sasha Sims led the team with a combined 43 points in the two games en route to her third A-Sun Player of the Week award this season.  She currently ranks second in the league in scoring (18.5) and ranks fifth all-time in school history in points scored (1399).

Sims is just one of five Hatters scoring in double figures as Stetson leads the Atlantic Sun and ranks 37th in the nation in scoring (78.4 ppg).  The team's .454 field goal pcercentage also leads the league and ranks 23rd in the NCAA.  Junior Jama Sharp ranks 18th in the country is assists per game (6.1).

Defensively the Hatters continue to excel at blocking shots.  Freshman Amber Porter ranks fifth in the NCAA with a 3.7 blocks per game average, and the team as a whole ranks 18th in the country with a blocking average of 5.3. Sims has tied the school record with 137 blocked shots in her career.

Thursday's game will be available on ASun.TV, while Saturday's contest will be broadcast on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app for mobile devices.  Live stats, the Stetson women's basketball twitter feed, and Hat-Alerts will also be available for in-game updates.
