Stetson men’s basketball senior Hunter Miller earned Capital One Academic All-District honors for his accomplishments on and off the court on Thursday, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA).

Miller, who was named to the Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference team a year ago, is one of just six student-athletes in District 4 to earn the accolades from CoSIDA. He is joined by Mercer’s Jakob Gollon, Coastal Carolina’s Michel Enanga, FAU’s Justin Raffington, Alabama’s Levi Randolph, and Florida’s Patric Young.

A native of Nashville, Tenn., Miller currently holds a 3.7 cumulative GPA while majoring in business administration at Stetson. On the court he has played in all 21 games as a senior, starting eight at point guard. He is second on the team with 48 assists on the year, including six contests with four or more dimes.

Miller will now be placed on the ballot for Academic All-America, to be announced later in the season.

To be eligible for consideration of this award, a student-athlete must maintain a GPA of 3.3, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his/her current institution, and have been enrolled in his/her school for one full year.
