Coming off of its best performance this season, the Stetson lacrosse team returns to action on Tuesday to host visiting Saint Joseph’s. The Hatters and the Hawks will square off at 7:00 p.m. at the Athletic Training Center in DeLand.

Stetson continues its current three-game home stand against Saint Joseph’s after opening with a 13-10 loss to Sacred Heart on Wednesday. The Hatters were down just 6-5 at halftime to the Pioneers, before falling behind late to lose by three.

Sophomore Danielle Horgan and freshman Ana Baranowski each scored two goals in the defeat. Both players are tied for second on the team in scoring with freshman Lindsay Summers, all of whom have five goals on the year. Freshman Christina Loya leads all Hatters with six goals and three assists in 2014.

While the Hatters are still in search of their first win of 2014, Saint Joseph’s comes to DeLand with an overall record of 2-3 having just lost to Manhattan 13-6 on Saturday. The Hawks have earned wins over LIU Brooklyn and Deleware State, both of which came at home. Hanna Hutchins leads with way with nine goals, while Emily Bowers has totaled six goals and 11 assists for a team high 17 points.

Admission to Tuesday’s contest is free of charge. The game can be watched live on HatterVision. Live Stats, the @StetsonLacrosse Twitter feed, and Hat-Alerts are also available for in-game updates.
