The Stetson University softball team (25-5, 9-2 Atlantic Sun) is off to its best start in 10 years, and now the Hatters are recognized in a national top 25 poll for the first time in 10 years as well.

Stetson was listed among teams receiving votes in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll Tuesday, good for an unofficial No. 31 national ranking.  It is the third time in school history Stetson has received votes in a national poll, following earlier appearances during the 2002 and 2004 seasons.

The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll is voted on by coaching representatives from 10 Division I conferences as well as members of national and local media who cover Division I softball across the country.

The Hatters have won 10 games in a row, tying for the sixth-longest active streak in the NCAA.  Stetson also moved up three spots to No. 32 in this week's NCAA RPI report.

Stetson will visit Northern Kentucky for a three-game series beginning Saturday at Noon.
