Stetson
University announced the
hiring of a pair of new staff members in the athletic department on
Wednesday. Kerry Kerlin will be the new Assistant
Director of Operations & Facilities, while Kevin Jurenko was hired as the
Equipment Room Supervisor.
Working directly with Director of Operations &
Facilities James Stem, Kerlin will
oversee scheduling, maintenance, and events at the J. Ollie Edmunds
Center. The recent Stetson graduate will
also facilitate the operation of softball and sand volleyball events.
Kerlin graduated from the University in May of 2012 with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management.
Also earning an Associate's degree from the McCann School of Business
and Technology in 2008, Kerlin has worked in operations at Stetson since 2009.
Jurenko will be in charge of ordering, distributing,
fitting, and maintaining all Stetson equipment throughout the season,
specifically working with football, men's and women's soccer, and lacrosse. Jurenko will also oversee the other two
equipment managers in the department.
The 1999 graduate of Marshall
University comes to Stetson following
a five year stint at Tennessee
State University
as Head Equipment Manager. Before TSU,
Jurenko served as head equipment manager at Sacred Heart
University, and spent
time working at both Marshall and Virginia.
