ATLANTA, Ga. - The Stetson men's soccer team completed its 2012 season on Sunday with a 2-1 overtime loss at Georgia State.  Junior JJ Bostic scored his first goal of the season in the defeat.

With just 41 seconds remaining in regulation, and the Hatters trailing 1-0, Bostic put one in the back of the net to tie the game and send the two teams into overtime in Stetson's season finale.  Bostic received a ball on the right side and beat Panther goalkeeper Vincent Foermer to the near post.  He was assisted by junior Raffaele Centofanti and senior Caleb Matthews on the play.

It marked Bostic's third career goal in his two seasons as a defender for the Hatters.  Centofanti's second assist of the season was his third career helper out of the back for Stetson.  Matthews, meanwhile, tallied his first career assist on the play, finishing the season in a tie for the team's third leading scorer with one goal and one assist.

Neither team was able to put anything on the scoreboard until Georgia State scored in the 81st minute of play.  Alex Vivanco recorded his seventh goal of the season when he chipped a host over Stetson goalkeeper Andreas Schnabl to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead late in the game.

After the Hatters tied the game on Bostic's heroics late in the contest, the two squads went into overtime tied 1-1.  Just about midway through the first overtime period, a Stetson turnover led to Georgia State's game-winning score in the 95th minute.  Michael Nwiloh tallied his first score of the season to give the Panthers the victory.

Stetson finished the 2012 season with a 3-10-2 overall record, and just missed out on the Atlantic Sun Tournament with a league mark of 2-5-1.  Senior Kai Eckenrode led the squad with five goals and one assist for 11 points on the season.
