MACON, Ga. – Stetson men’s soccer seniors Andreas Schnabl and Evan Jimmo were named to the Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference Team for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
This marks the second straight season that Stetson has placed a pair of student-athletes on the Academic All-Conference squad. Last year Kai Eckenrode and Luis Ocejo earned the accolades for the Hatters.
Schnabl, who earned Capital One Academic All-District honors earlier this season, holds a 3.73 cumulative GPA while majoring in international business at Stetson. He finished his career as the all-time leader in Stetson history with 15 shutouts and a 1.27 goals-against-average. He recorded three shutouts and a 1.51 GAA during his senior season.
Jimmo, meanwhile, received postseason honors from the conference for the first time on Monday. The senior, who played all positions on the field, including outside back, during his senior season, finished fifth on the team with four points in 2013. He scored one goal, the game-winner against UMass-Lowell in the season opener, and recorded two assists this season.
Stetson was one of just three A-Sun schools, joining Mercer and ETSU, with multiple student-athletes on the Academic All-Conference Team.
