Stetson lacrosse head coach Nicole Moore announced changes to the 2014 Hatters schedule, which includes playing nine-time NCAA Tournament participant Syracuse at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex to open the season.
Originally tentatively scheduled to be held in DeLand, the Stetson lacrosse team’s season-opener against Syracuse on Friday, Jan. 24 will take play at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Walt Disney World. The Hatters and last year’s final four Orange are schedule to begin at 7:00 p.m. from Lake Buena Vista.
Stetson’s exhibition contest against Tampa that was going to take place on Feb. 1 has been removed from the schedule. In its place the Hatters have added another regular season non-conference game. Stetson will travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. to challenge Marist on March 21 at 7:00 p.m.
The Hatters’ second season of competition will begin with eight home games in its first 10 contests, and will include 12 games held at the Athletic Training Center overall. Stetson went 2-14 and earned a berth into the Atlantic Sun Championship during its inaugural season in 2013.
