Men's Tennis Competes in Day One of ITF-Futures Friday

PALM COAST, Fla. – Four Hatters won first round matches as the Stetson men's tennis team competed in day one action at the ITF Future USA-F4 Tournament on Friday.

Sophomore Cahit Kapukiran won 6-2, 6-1 over Justin Vergauwen of the United States. Fellow sophomore Egor Panyushkin also earned a first round win, topping Juan Sebastian Osorio of Colombia 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Two other Hatters came away victorious on Friday. Sophomore Simon Julin won 6-2, 6-0 over Jason Legall of the United States, while freshman Graham Ball defeated fellow Canadian Alexandre Latychev 6-1, 6-4.

Senior Hans Adrian Riseng and sophomore Laurynas Antropikas were also in competition Friday, falling in their first round matches.

Second Round competition is set for Saturday in Palm Coast.
