The Stetson men’s basketball team looks to snap a three-game losing streak when the Hatters play host to visiting Jacksonville on Saturday. The Hatters and the Dolphins are scheduled to tip-off at 1:00 p.m. from the Edmunds Center.

Stetson is coming off of another tight game at home, falling to North Florida 54-52 on Thursday. That is nothing new to the Hatters, who have played eight of their nine games in DeLand within six points of their opponent.

Jacksonville comes to DeLand with just a half of a game lead on Stetson in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings. The Dolphins are 5-7 during league play after losing to Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday, while the Hatters are now 4-7 following the loss to the Ospreys.

The Dolphins one the first matchup between these two teams this season, winning 88-75 in Jacksonville back on Jan. 9. Redshirt-freshman Brian Pegg was the bright spot for the Hatters in that loss, earning A-Sun Newcomer of the Week honors for his 18-point, 15-rebound career night against the Dolphins.

Stetson trails Jacksonville 45-33 in the storied history between these two teams, which dates back all the way to 1958. JU has won three out of the last four meetings, but the Hatters have come out victorious in the last three held in DeLand.

Saturday’s game can be watched on HatterVision, or listened to on WSBB AM 1230, WTJV AM 1490, and online at with Robbie Aaron on the call. Live Stats, the @StetsonMBB Twitter feed, and Hat-Alerts are also available for in-game updates.
