The Stetson men’s basketball team is set to begin a four-game week on Saturday, traveling to Johnson City, Tenn. to challenge ETSU in an Atlantic Sun Conference contest. The Hatters and the Bucs are scheduled to tip-off at 4:00 p.m. from the MSHA Athletic Center.

Stetson (7-17, 5-7) is coming off of a 73-68 home victory over Jacksonville last Saturday at the Edmunds Center that pushed the Hatters ahead of the Dolphins and into seventh place in the league standings. Senior guard Raymone Andrews led Stetson with 19 points and six assists in the victory.

ETSU (15-12, 8-6) welcomes Stetson to town having won four out of its last five games, including an 89-81 victory over Florida Gulf Coast Thursday night. The Bucs sit in fourth place in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings and clinched a berth in the league tournament with the win over the Eagles.

The last time these two teams met the Hatters came out on top 64-58, the team’s largest margin of victory this season. Playing without Andrews in that Jan. 16 contest in DeLand, Stetson held the Bucs to 31 percent shooting and just 28 points in the second half.

ETSU leads Stetson 11-10 in the all-time series between the two teams, but the Hatters have won the last two meetings and five out of their last seven matchups against the Bucs. Stetson also defeated ETSU in last year’s A-Sun Quarterfinals, setting a tournament record for single game defensive field goal percentage.

Saturday’s contest can be watched live on ASun.TV or listened to on WSBB AM 1230, WTJV AM 1490, and online at with Robbie Aaron on the call. Live Stats, the @StetsonMBB Twitter feed, and Hat-Alerts are also available for in-game updates.
