SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Stetson men’s basketball team will look to earn just its second road win of the season on Monday night, challenging fourth place USC Upstate. The Hatters and the Spartans are scheduled to tip-off at 7:00 p.m. from the Hodge Center on ESPN3 and the Hatters Radio Network.

Stetson (7-18, 5-8) has lost four out of its last five games after dropping a 93-66 tilt at ETSU Saturday afternoon. The Hatters are now 1-11 in true road contests and 1-14 in games away from the Edmunds Center. Stetson’s lone road victory came via a 68-65 triumph at Kennesaw State back on Jan. 23.

USC Upstate (15-12, 8-6) comes into Monday’s rescheduled contest having won six of its last eight games. The Spartans are currently tied for fourth in the Atlantic Sun Conference after falling at home to Florida Gulf Coast, 84-80, on Saturday afternoon.

Beginning with a 65-48 win over Kennesaw State on Jan. 31, Upstate has won four out of six contests without second leading scorer and top assist man Ty Greene. Fred Miller has stepped up, averaging 10 points and 5.5 assist per game since being inserted into the starting lineup.

Stetson has won the last three meetings against USC Upstate, including a 77-73 overtime victory earlier this season. The Hatters hold a 7-5 advantage in the all-time series, but Upstate leads the series 3-2 in games played in Spartanburg.

Monday’s contest can be watched on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app with Jason Patterson on the call. Fans can also listen on WSBB AM 1230, WTJV AM 1490, and online at Live Stats, the @StetsonMBB Twitter feed, and Hat-Alerts are also available for in-game updates.
