DELAND, Fla. – The Stetson University lacrosse team will open up the Atlantic Sun portion of its 2014 schedule as it travels north for a Saturday matchup with Kennesaw State. The Hatters and Owls will square off at 1 p.m., as Stetson looks for its second A-Sun win in program history.

The Hatters’ earned their first conference win of 2013 in DeLand, against the same Kennesaw team, with a convincing 19-7 decision. Stetson will be looking to repeat the feat in 2014, but on the Owls’ home game field at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

KSU enters the contest with an 0-1 conference mark and an 0-8 record overall. Stetson has not played an A-Sun game all season as is 0-12 on the year.

The Hatters last played Mar. 26, when they were defeated by No. 4 Florida, and now enter a stretch of five straight A-Sun games to close out the regular season.

Live video and live stats of the Apr. 5 game between SU and KSU will be available for fans not able to make the trip to Georgia this weekend, via The @StetsonLacrosse Twitter feed and Hat-Alerts, the athletic department’s official text messaging system are also available for in-game updates as well.
