Volleyball Drops Regular Season Finale at NKU

The Stetson University volleyball team (18-15, 9-9 A-Sun) dropped its regular season finale 3-0 at Northern Kentucky Saturday afternoon.

The Norse (12-19, 7-11) won by scores of 25-23, 25-21, and 25-17.

Tiffany Creamer led the Hatters with 14 kills and a .433 attack percentage.  Madison Akins added 11 kills and Kaley Melville picked up 10 digs.

The Hatters will now turn their attention to the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship, where the program will be making its first appearance in 18 years.  Stetson will be the no. 5 seed in the single elimination tournament and will face no. 4 seed Florida Gulf Coast in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. Thursday evening at the Convocation Center in Kennesaw, Ga.  All matches during the championship will be carried live on ESPN3.

Stetson and FGCU split their two regular season meetings with each team winning on its opponent's home court.  The Hatters clinched a postseason berth with their 3-1 win in Fort Myers last Saturday.
