JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Stetson men’s soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision on the road at East Tennessee State on Sunday afternoon. The Hatters fall to 1-8-3 on the season and are now 0-3-1 in Atlantic Sun Conference play.

ETSU (5-4-3, 3-1-0) moves into a tie for second place in the conference standing after the win. The Bucs outshot Stetson 15-10 for the match, and recorded five corner kicks to the Hatters’ one.

"It was a disappointing loss," Stetson head coach T. Logan Fleck said. "We did not play good enough as a team to win today. It's as simple as that.  You must earn wins."

Stetson gave up the first goal of the game in the 29th minute. David Genor played a cross into the box, Blaike Woodruff headed it on to Itode Fubara, who headed it past goalkeeper Andreas Schnabl for his first goal of the season.

After halftime it was Emmaunel Wilson scoring a pair of goals in a six-minute span to put the contest out of reach for the Hatters. Wilson scored from Anthony Wojas in the 60th minute to make it 2-0. He then scored his third goal of the season off of assists from Fubara and Wojas.

ETSU’s Ryan Coulter made three saves in goal for the Bucs. Schnabl finished with one save, while freshman Paul Ladwig came in and played 18 minutes for the Hatters.

"It was a disappointing loss today," senior Raffaele Centofanti said. "The team didn't have any good connections today, played very slow, and ETSU used that to their advantage in counter-attacks.  We need to have a better team effort for 90 minutes."

Stetson will return home next weekend to host Mercer on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 1:00 p.m.
