ORLANDO, Fla. – The Stetson cross country competed in its final race before the Atlantic Sun Conference, running at the UCF Black and Gold Invitational on Friday evening in Orlando.

Sophomore Adrienne DeVita finished first for the Hatters, placing 20th overall in a time of 24:01 on the six kilometer course. Freshman Daniella Godenzi was the next Stetson harrier to cross the line, placing 35th in 25:04.

Sophomore Trixi Menge was just behind Godenzi, crossing the line in 25:24 to place 41st. Sophomore Jessica Cosgrove and freshman Clarissa Consol rounded out the scoring for Stetson. The former placed 45th in 25:35, while the latter recorded a time of 25:44 to take 48th.

The Hatter men were led once again by senior Andrew Epifanio, who placed 27th in a time of 27:53 on the eight kilometer course. Freshman Joe Beery was next to cross the line for Stetson, recording a time of 28:48 to take 45th.

Sophomore Andrew Townes was the next Hatter to finish the race, placing 57th in a time of 29:37. Sophomore Ryan Hodgins and junior Jeremy Butler rounded out the men’s scoring. The former placed 65th in 30:43, while the latter recorded a time of 31:56 to take 74th.
