Meredith Owen pitched a four-hit shutout in game one and Jessica Griffin hit a three-run home run in game two as the Hatters won a pair of games Friday in the Stetson Classic at Patricia Wilson Field.
Stetson defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 3-0 in the opener and knocked off Colgate 10-2 in the nightcap to improve to 10-6 on the season.
The Hatters scored all three runs against the Knights in the bottom of the third inning as Demi Meza doubled with the bases loaded driving in two runs and Owen added a sacrifice fly.
In the circle, Owen scattered four hits, all singles, over seven innings while striking out six and walking just one. She improved her record to 8-2 and lowered her season ERA to 1.08.
In game two, the Hatters scored five runs in the first two innings and cruised to the six-inning run-rule victory.
Griffin added a three-run shot in the fourth, her second home run of the season, while Jordan Cleghorn hit an RBI double and scored a run in the sixth.
Courtney Brandt (2-2) earned the victory in the circle, allowing two unearned runs in six innings while striking out nine.
Chrissy Morello and Griffin each collected three hits on the day while Owen drove in four runs.
Winners of nine out of 10, the Hatters will Valparaiso at 4 p.m. and Fairleigh Dickinson at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Valparaiso also defeated FDU (1-0) and Colgate (7-0) on Friday.
