Braselton, Ga. - The Stetson men's golf team is set to compete in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships Monday-Wednesday at the Chateau Elan Resort outside Atlanta.  The Hatters tee off from 8:45 to 9:21 a.m. in groups with players from Belmont and Kennesaw State.

Competing for the Hatters this week are junior Sam Ryder (Longwood, Fla.), senior Gabe Costa (Tequesta, Fla.), junior Micah Jacobsen (Fernandina Beach, Fla.), junior Andrew Schiano (Orlando, Fla.) and freshman Matt Lawrence (Naples, Fla.).  Ryder and Costa combined for seven top five finishes in the regular season with stroke averages of 72.6 and 73.3, respectively.  Jacobsen played to a 75.4 stroke average on the year with Schiano (77.0) and Lawrence (78.1) following close behind.

In the 2010 event, also held at Chateau Elan, the Hatters tied for seventh in the 11-team field with Kennesaw State at 35 over par 899.  Stetson will be looking for its first A-Sun title since 1990.
