DeLAND—Stetson men’s golf squad is tied for second after two rounds of play at the Stetson Invitational, which opened play Monday at Victoria Hills Golf Club.

The Hatters fired a two-round total of 602 (303-299) and trail team leader Bethune-Cookman (593) by nine strokes with one round left.

Freshman Dirk Kuehler is tied for second at 148 (72-76), and trails individual leader Ryan Fricker of Bethune-Cookman by nine strokes.

Sophomore Dustin Dingus is tied for fourth at 149 (79-70), while junior Matt Taylor is tied for sixth at 151 (77-74).

Sophomore David Torres is tied for 14th at 154 (75-79). Freshman Eliott Azoulay was forced to withdraw during the first round with an injury.

The Hatters sent five individuals to the tournament. Sophomores Brian Kehoe (77-77) and Michael Primavera (78-76) and freshman Zach Stark (76-78) are tied for 14th at 154.

Senior Tyler White is tied for 24th at 159 (80-79), while sophomore Andrew Peterson is 29th at 164 (86-78).

The third and final round is scheduled for a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
