Bethlehem, Pa. - The Stetson men's tennis team left the Sunshine State behind for a weekend in the snowbound Northeast, yet saw no change in its winning ways with four wins in four tries over host Lehigh, Monmouth, Georgetown and Lafayette.  The Hatters will head back home with an unblemished 5-0 record on the season.  Senior Alex Hackett (Surrey, England) and sophomore Didrik Berg (Oslo, Norway) both went undefeated in singles and doubles throughout the weekend.

The Hatters, who escaped the frigid temperatures by playing all their matches indoors at Lehigh's Lewis Tennis Center, began their trip with a 5-2 win over the host Mountain Hawks on Friday morning, then blanked the Monmouth Hawks 7-0 that afternoon.  6-1 wins over Georgetown (Saturday afternoon) and Lafayette (Sunday morning) completed the weekend for Head Coach Pierre Pilote's squad.

Berg won all four of his singles matches in straight sets, including a pair of perfect 6-0, 6-0 wins over Georgetown's Rafael Notario and Lafayette's Kyle McClelland.  In doubles, he and junior Cesare Gallo (Portogruaro, Italy) romped through four matches in the #2 position, outscoring their opponents 32-11 in games.  Hackett won both his singles matches in straight sets against Lehigh (Andrew Krentz) and Monmouth (Ian Terpilowski) while pairing with senior Chris Swanteson (Vaxjo, Sweden) for doubles wins against those two schools as well.

Stetson opens the home portion of its schedule this Saturday, Feb. 12 with a doubleheader against Georgia Southern (10 a.m.) and Saint Leo (4 p.m.) at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.  Live Stats will be available for both matches at
