DeLand, Fla. - The Stetson men's tennis team improved to 9-2 overall and began its Atlantic Sun Conference schedule at 1-0 after a 7-0 win over visiting Florida Gulf Coast (0-4, 0-1 A-Sun) at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center on Saturday.  All six singles matches were won by the Hatters in straight sets with five Stetson players claiming singles and doubles victories.

Head Coach Pierre Pilote switched up his doubles pairings, using combinations of Cesare Gallo (Portogruaro, Italy)/Maksim Levanovich (Minsk, Belarus), Njal Stene (Oslo, Norway)/Chris Swanteson (Vaxjo, Sweden) and Didrik Berg (Oslo, Norway)/Alex Hackett (Surrey, England) to great effect - all three were victorious.

Berg, Hackett, Gallo, Levanovich, Stene and freshman Hans Adrian Riseng (Oslo, Norway) all won quickly and convincingly over their Eagle opponents.  Levanovich beat Matthew Rock 6-2, 6-1 at the top of the lineup with Gallo claiming a 6-1, 6-3 win over Gabriel Echeverry on Court 2 to set the tone.

The Hatters are off until Thursday, March 3 when they host A-Sun rival USC Upstate at 4 p.m.  Live Stats will be available at GoHatters.com.
