DeLand, Fla. - Two members of the Stetson men's tennis team earned postseason honors from the Atlantic Sun Conference as the results of All-Conference balloting were release Tuesday.  Junior Njal Stene (Oslo, Norway) was named to the All-Atlantic Sun First Team while junior Cesare Gallo (Portogruaro, Italy) landed on the Second Team.

Stene, a first time All-Conference honoree, was 18-8 in singles this spring and 8-2 in conference play.  He moved up and down the lineup throughout the season, playing five of the six singles positions; like Gallo, he has won seven of his last 10 singles matches.  Stene is 17-8 in doubles this spring while playing with three different partners.  For his part, Gallo earned Second Team All-Atlantic Sun mention with a 15-9 (6-4 A-Sun) record; he is 13-5 at #2 singles and 13-11 in doubles.  This is Gallo's second consecutive season on the Second Team; he was also 2009 All-Freshman Team and 2010 All-Tournament Team in the A-Sun.

Major A-Sun awards went to Campbell's Davy Sum (Player of the Year) and Fernando Guillen (Freshman of the Year) as well as UNF's Igal Buberman (Coach of the Year).

The Hatters finished the regular season with an 18-9 overall record and 6-4 Atlantic Sun ledger, giving them the fourth seed in this week's conference tournament and a 2 p.m. Thursday date with fifth-seeded Mercer in the quarterfinals.  Stetson hosts the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships April 14-16 at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.  Live Scoring is available throughout the tournament with selected matches also being streamed live at
